Innovations in the E-Testing of Statistics for Non-Specialists

The talk reports on a learning and assessment approach for the teaching statistics to first year Business School students. The learning and teaching strategy is centred on using key skill e-assessments to encourage students to self-learn. The assessment of students’ statistical competency is by three in-class e-exams, which are sat under controlled conditions. The e-assessments were created using the Dewis system.
